In the scheme of things, numbers (weights) don’t really mean a hell of a lot. I get that, I like photographic evidence, the visuals.
So here we go: on the left in May, and on the right was taken yesterday (please excuse how awful I look, I’m sick and had been cleaning/packing all day).
I started the Dukan diet on June 11th, and included in that timeframe I’ve enjoyed non-Dukan-friendly birthday celebrations (including wine), a cheeseburger and an almond Magnum. So realistically it’s been about 10 days of proper Dukaning.
I realise it’s not a huge difference, and most probably wont see it – but to me, I see myself daily and I can see it. These photos are the little pep talk I need sometimes to keep myself motivated. That’s precisely what has happened. I was starting to get bored, but now I’m just excited.
I’ve also been hearing great things about The 4-Hour Body, it is (in parts) similar to Dukan but somehow not as strict. I’m going to have a read through of it, as I feel you can never have too much knowledge – but I also know that Dukan is working for me, and when something works, you stick at it.

I get asked quite often how my JamieO blog is going – yes, complete failure there. I’m going to go out on a huge tree branch and say it’s pressure. As soon as I have to do something, it’s no longer fun. I’m sure most people have the same tendencies… who wants more chores in life?!
Second failure, the 365 photography project blog. Once again, total CHORE. I lost interest about 14 days ago. Sure it’s a photo a day. But I like taking REAL photos, not just a random snap. No longer fun.
So my solution? Well my basic two loves are photography and food (fatty!!!!! I mean cooking really…). So I’m combining the two in a new blog. With no rules as to how often I have to cook/snap photos. Just a free for all.
I will no doubt start a new (free) blog as I don’t want it all linked to this personal one and the JamieO blog is due to expire next month.
I mean, look how good those cupcakes look! Everyone likes snaps like that. That’s what I’m aiming to acheive and learn. Real food photography.
of two things;
Today marks the beginning of my 365 photo challenge I am completing on a special blog over here. I am going to try and post my photo daily so I don’t end up with a huge back log!
I have also been dating a Texan (I know! right?) man for just over a week now. Tonight will be our fourth date. Sure it sounds fast, but it’s all been very calm and casual. We’re only on first base (I had to get him to explain the ‘base’ system…) even though there have been tempting times! But what’s the rush? It’s good to find out if we’re compatible in other ways. He marks the first American I have ever dated. So lets see how things pan out with this one…
And yes, I already asked him… he did not bring his cowboy boots and hat with him. Apparently he never owned any… *cough*bullshit!*cough*
