I’m putting this question out there to you all:
If your life were a movie, which one would it be?
I recently had a fellow twitterer tell me she thought of me as New Zealand’s own Bridget Jones (“in a nice way”). To be honest I think she’s hit the nail on the head. If I’m truly honest with myself, I seem to always have Bridget Jones moments, always! But don’t all girls? It’s kind of the point of the movie, isn’t it?
The crush on the boss? Dating the bad boys? Being unprepared for a night of action? Putting your foot in it, regularly? Always acting classy when on the vino? Weight loss? Keeping a diary (blog)? Finding true love?
Check. Check. Check. Check. Check. Check. Check. Fail!
But hey, Ms Jones was much closer to 30 than myself, so I have a few more years before I need to check that box.
I’m hoping in the next few years my life starts to resemble The Notebook, because seriously that movie is gorgeous! Of course, without all the heartache and deciding between two guys, I’m not greedy – one will be quite sufficient thank you very much!
Or maybe I just need to Sex and the City up my life? As a gorgeous gay man told me last night; “If you don’t have sex every two days, you’re not living. So just pounce the next attractive man you see.“
God, gay men have it sorted! I don’t think I want the reputation that goes along with it though…
