She’s been a hectic and highly eventful week and she’s still not over!

After nearly dying from an extreme (yes, of manflu strength) cold on the weekend, of which I didn’t leave the house, my week 22 of 2012 has been bloody busy. A concert! An interview! A thesis submission! A wedding! And somehow three days of work… (most of which was filled with interviewing people for my role – tedious.)

I ended up having Monday off work as I still wasn’t fully recovered. But magically, and with the help of a cold & flu capsule + coffee + Malibu + wine cocktail I made it to see Florence + The Machine. My God. What a concert – that woman is so full of talent, and seeing her live (and her extremely talented ‘machine’) I found a whole new love for her and her music.

Tuesday night I had dinner with Natasha and Alice (who has popped over for Natasha’s wedding). It was so lovely to finally meet Alice after talking for so long!

Wednesday I had a phone call from a recruitment company in London in regards to finance/accounting jobs – it was very informative and she was very sure not to include a sparkly bubble nor fluffy mittens. She told me I’m not likely to get my ideal job for 6-8 weeks. It’s always hard to hear the hard truths, but also I need to hear it. I’ve submitted my CV to a bunch of temp secretarial roles that will bring in the £ for the first couple of months.

Yesterday was a monumental day for my best friend: she submitted her thesis for her PHD.  I’m so proud! She’s worked so hard and deserves all the recognition and celebration in the world! We celebrated last night with cocktails at The Library Bar (somewhat appropriate) and she’s off to Japan this weekend for a wee jaunt and break. She definitely deserves it, in my opinion.

Finally, today I am off to Natasha‘s wedding!!!!! I am beyond excited to share this magical day with her, her lovely beau and a bunch of amazing ladies. Really, I need to get my ass out of bed now and in the shower. Hair to wash, nails to paint, a frock to pack, bubbles to buy, and a couple of girls to pick up!
