I feel my blog is bordering seriously close to becoming public knowledge with everyone I know. Do I care? Surprisingly, I really don’t.
Sure, a year ago I think I would have been mortified should friends and family find it but lately it doesn’t phase me. I’ve written about personal things, but nothing I’m actually ashamed of – as I always knew that writing on the big bad internet could get discovered at any time.
If it comes, like the rapture, I shall embrace it.
Rapture hit me when I outed my blog by applying for a social media job (that I didn’t get). Now that my mum, mother-in-law and various aunties are commenting (sometimes not on the blog, but they let comments slip on the phone) I am having to rethink my blog and what I write and how I want to make it work. Not that I have ever written anything I don’t stand by…but sometimes I enjoyed the anonymity of my online friends (most of who are now offline friends anyway) only knowing what was going on.
But, we grow and we change and we adapt.
No one knows I blog in the circle of my family and friends. I dont know why. I love her..my blog that is..but still I dont tell them..however the rest of the world not a problem..lol.
haha, it’s crazy how we don’t mind the anonymous. I guess it’s harder for them to judge you…
