Date two: success. He even met my Mum…

The meeting of my Mum was not part of the plan, but he had insisted on picking me up, so at 6.30pm on the dot there’s a knock on the door. I’m walking out of my room when my Mum walks past and mouths “I’LL GET IT!” (she wasn’t making any noise, but the emphasis was as if she was yelling). Crap. The only way to stop her would be to tackle her, and he would definitely hear the scuffle so I figure my best option is to just let her…

She’s in love.

After returning from my date and telling her it was another successful one her whole face lit up. “He’s so handsome, Bron and he has a nice firm handshake.”

He was fine about meeting her, it didn’t seem to worry him in the slightest! Brownie points.

The date itself was awesome. We headed out to dinner, shared an entrée (oh so romantic), enjoyed our mains and even splurged on dessert. He had me laughing the whole time, conversation flows so easily with him. I’m excited because I know it’s going well and I know he likes me – he even said at one point that you “can tell within 15 minutes if you like someone and want to see them again”.

He dropped me home and gave me a hug, quickly adding;  “I’d like to give you a goodnight kiss but I don’t want to give you what’s left of my flu.” I found it cute that he’d thought about it and thought it best to say something.

We’ve locked in date number three, Sunday morning brunch. The only time I have free this weekend. Ha.
