FIIIIIIIIIIIIVE DAYS! faark.

Just five days until I attempt to get my short legs whipping (jogging?) around Auckland. I’m nervous. Every time I think about this Auckland Half Marathon I feel like I may crap my pants (not so ladylike, I’m sorry). I’m also nervous of the pain I will be in after making the 21km trek.

I am, however, excited of the post-marathon celebrations. A bunch of us heading out for lunch, then drinks all afternoon and into the evening with more friends. It will be required to get rid of the pain I will be in!

I will be the one in the corner, laying down, sipping a huge cocktail from an even huger straw, so as not to move.

your favourite song

This is such a lame prompt for day 30. Picking a favourite song is so hard! I’m going to go with one that I enjoy when angry, sad or happy. No matter my mood I always sing along out loud to this one;

Babylon by David Gray.

Let go your heart
Let go your head
And feel it now

in this past month, what have you learned

I have learned that life is about the events that happen and the people closest to you that get you through them in one piece. I have also learned that in my 26 years I have had amazing experiences filled with wonderful people and I have not regretted a moment. Oh except for when my Mum put my sister and I in matching tights and over-sized jumper sets. Gawd. The 80′s, love it.

a picture of you from last year and now, how have you changed since then?

September 2009

September 2010

Ummm more wrinkles? Looks-wise I haven’t really changed…

Life and achievement-wise;

  • finished my Bachelor of Business: Accounting
  • spent 7 weeks in Southeast Asia
  • moved into my job full time – learning lots and loving it
  • crashed my car
  • and survived another birthday pushing me closer to 30, crap.

why are you doing this 30 day challenge

Because I lost the buzz to blog. I do this quite often. It helped for a bit. But I lost it again recently because some of these 30 days prompts got super lame and things like wine, cheese and cocktails with friends seemed more fun than writing about my favourite song. Done.
