You’d be amazed at how often I hear this. I never know whether to take it as a compliment or an insult. It could swing both ways really, either they think I don’t have the intelligence for it or they’re thinking I’m far too social, depending on the question asker.
I mean lets face it, accounting is not cool. It’s not sexy. But it pays damn well and it’s a cushy office job. There’s also the issue of your work colleagues you spend eight hours a day with, more then likely they’re in their 40s-70s, which leaves zero chance of ever having an office romance.
But really we can’t pigeon-hole accountants for how they used to be; a balding older man in a grey
sweater. They’re slowing being wiped out, and us young, fun group of graduates are popping into the start of our careers.
I stuck to accounting because I understand it and even slightly enjoy it (shh don’t mock me!) but I still have a creative side to me; I enjoy photography, cooking, reading, writing, blogging and I even have a sense of humour! I’m not all about numbers. In fact, I can’t even multiply or divide in my head!
hello! just in case you don’t make it back to my blog in search of the recipe you can find it here: http://sillygrrl.com/2008/06/18/vegan-chai-latte-cupcakes/
