Shopaholics Annonymous – Take 2.

Hahah yes.. I went shopping again!! This time though, it was Retail Therapy. My friend Victoria decided it would be best for me. Hehe. So at 10.30am we headed off to Newmarket (a very flash part of Auckland) to 277 (two double-seven), where I bought a gorgeous skirt and top.
I’m very happy with the skirt, it’s a chocolate brown colour, it’s floaty, light and very pretty. I love the embroidered flowers and leaves on it. It also has little dangly sparkly bits with beads on the end, I love them, they’re different and pretty!
I will try and get a photo of me in the outfit, probably tmorrow – I’m sure I wont be able to contain myself for not wearing it!

After clothes shopping I bought six cocktail glasses and a bar set, which includes a cocktail shaker. They’re lovely! I’ll take them around to Jo’s cocktail party tomorrow. All I have left ot buy for that is a bottle of Tequila!

After a long day of shopping, we went back to Victoria’s house for a swim in her pool! :content: It was so lovely and refreshing, my first swim for this summer!

Rob text me today to say he’s off up north for a few days, including New Years. So hopefully he has fun, and he’s asked if we could do something together Monday or Tuesday. It’ll be good to see him again :) .

Single!

Well yes, after 3 years and 3 months – I’m single. Rob and I have been together since we were 18! Now 21.. we’ve decided to end it.
You know what’s weird? We got together on the 29th of September and we’ve know broken up on the 29th! Bit spooky… hehe.
Yesterday his new bed got delivered to his new flat and we put it all together, so he decided he’d stay there last night. I was at dinner at my dad’s house when he text me to see if I’d like to go stay the first night there. So I did. Then this morning he came and collected more stuff from my room.
I have now sorted out a few more things of his and cleaned and dusted my room – I have so much more space.. lol. I’m waiting for him to come get them, don’t know what time he’s coming though.
I don’t feel sad at the moment, as it was a mutual decision, we kind of just drifted apart – there’s no anger or anything between us. So I’m sure we still see eachother – just don’t know how often and I’m sure it’ll fade eventually.
My sister, Allie, said that when she broke up with her boyfriend of 2 years , she wasn’t sad at the beginning but it hit her about a month later.. so I’ll wait for that.
He does still mean lots to me and I do care about him. It’s just not love anymore – it’s more like bestfriends! :???:
We’ll see….

Shopaholics Annonymous.

Hmmm.. yes, as it says above :blah:. Today my sister Allie knocked on my door at 8am to wake me up to go shopping, as the shops open at 9am. So we got there at 8:50am, it of course hadn’t opened yet, so we had to stand outside for 10 minutes and wait.
We finally got in the mall doors to find the shop we wanted to go to wasn’t open yet!! So we went to a café near it for a cappucino. Thirty minutes passed and the shop still wasn’t open!! So we went to Muffin Break to buy a savoury muffin each, came back to our café table to sit and eat, so we could see the doors of the shop. By 9:45am we were getting annoyed  so we went and looked at the sign, and sure enough – the one day we were shopping and there early it wasn’t going to open until 10am!!

The doors finally opened and we rushed to the underwear section; 50% off everything Elle McPhearson and 30% off everything Bendon. YAY! I scored a bra and three pairs of knickers; all by Elle McPhearson and Bendon for $40NZD!! Sorry no photos; that’s a little too intimate ;) . heh.
I also bought some make-up bits, foundation pads etc… nothing exciting. Next we stopped at Glassons and tried on some clothes – I ended up with one top, Allie got a couple. Rob stopped in at the mall while we were shopping and pretended to grab a bag of my shopping and gave me a massive shock!! After that we decided we’d had enough and went home.

Rod decided he wanted to buy his bed today, so we headed off to the bed shop to buy it and organise delivery – he’s moving out Thursday (yes, this Thursday, 29th). LMAO – just realised the 29th will be our 39 month anniversary

When Rob and I got back, mum, Allie and myself went shopping again. Don’t ya love credit cards? haha. (I get paid tomorrow). We left at 3pm, this time around I bought a pair of shoes, nailpolish and a necklace (beads).
Here’s the shoes and nailpolish:

Lovely? I love them, they’re going to be my New Years Cocktail Party shoes! :D I’m so looking forward to that – I mention it in every post. haha. You can’t really see properly, but that coloured thing on top has little “jewels”, looks so much brighter in person.
We realised as we were leaving the mall (at 5pm) they were closing all the shops!!! AHHHHHHH. So Allie and I had been there when they opened and then when they closed   Embarrasing!! Real shopaholics.. lol.

Oh, here’s a photo of my duvet etc for my bed (that I got for Christmas from my mum).

Check out this track: “Shine your light” by Robbie Robertson, from the Ladder 49 soundtrack. I absolutely love it!! Can’t stop listening to it – it’s the song they play at the funeral at the end – always makes me cry  .
